Kia Orana tatou katoatoa.  Welcome to my Manaiakalani Class OnAir episodes for 2022. This will be my 2nd year as a part of the Manaiakalani Class OnAir crew.  This is my 5th year teaching at Pt England school in a digital 1-1 classroom, however I took a break in 2019-2020 to go and teach in Rarotonga, so is my 7th year teaching.

This year I have an awesome group of year 7/8 and we are part of a Year 7 & 8 team consisting of five classrooms.  My learners are pretty confident with their devices as this will be the fifth year they have been using their Chromebooks as learning devices.

Throughout my lessons, you will see whole class, peer-to-peer and small group learning conversations.  This year I will be focusing on writing and teaching specific writing skills in small groups.  I’m really excited to be a part of the Manaiakalani Class OnAir programme and look forward to working with other educators around New Zealand.
