Mālō e lelei, kia orāna and nau mai, haere mai to my 2022 Manaiakalani Class OnAir episodes! I am a third year teacher working by the sea at New Brighton Catholic School - Mary Immaculate in Christchurch, New Zealand. I have always taught in a digital 1:1 learning environment.
This year, I have a terrific team of year 5/6 ākonga. We are part of a year 5/6 group with two home classes which is split into three for Pānui, Tuhituhinga, and Pāngaru. The students will be using Chromebooks to access their learning throughout the year as we learn, create and share together.
My lessons will include whole-class, peer to peer and small group learning. The small group interactions are often designed to cater to the needs of individual learners. I’m looking forward to sharing Room 2 with you this year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me with the details below!
