The learning intention for this lesson was writing quality blog comments. The purpose behind this lesson is to encourage learners to comment and interact wit each others work online.

Quality blog commenting is an important part of the LEARN CREATE SHARE model, so it's important to run a cyber smart lesson on this regularly.

In this lesson I ran a short workshop session, where the learners commented on each others recent writing posts, about our school Fiafia. Learners later left the mat and were asked to comment on 2 other Fiafia posts from around the school. This lesson was the last part of writing that week.

This lesson was very successful. Almost all my learners produced quality blog comments, and repeated the task successfully independently. One thing that perhaps could of been done better (and I will put a huge emphasis on this next time) was the importance of reading a post before writing a comment. To write a 'quality blog comment' you must have read post thoroughly. I noticed that when some of my learners were working independently they attempted to 'wing it' a little bit, and had not actually engaged with the blog post properly (and still did a fairly good job to their credit).
