Direct Instruction
The instruction was in two parts, over different lessons. To start with, the students are laying out their design developments in the order that they completed them so you can see the progression that they have gone through.
Then they are answering questions to explain what they did, why they did it and the effect these changes have.
Reflection
Splitting the task into two different sections was good as the students could concentrate on one part at a time and I wasn't loading them up with too many instructions.
I always have examples of everything that I want the students to draw and make. It is good for my progress to go through the literacy process with them too as it helps me understand what they have to do where.
