The learning intention for this lesson was:
Understand and reflect on the main events, emotions and cultural experiences of a character.
In this lesson, the children continue their novel study on Dawn Raid. They have some mini discussions around the main events, emotions and cultural experiences of a character before having an extended discussion.
As a follow-up create task, the children create a shoebox diorama based on an event from the text. This is a loose design task where the children have a lot of agency over their work.
