Understand how to use Google Earth to measure the perimeter and area of spaces
Understand the difference between private and public information when sharing online
Record your map using screen record
This video shows a Mathematics lesson integrated with a Cybersmart/Digital focus. We began with reviewing our Mathematics learning about perimeter and area. Then we shared what spaces would be a good idea to measure using Google Earth while considering public versus private information. Then we learned how to use Google Earth to measure spaces including the perimeter and area. After that, students had some time to work on their Measurement Maps. We finished with covering how to screen record and sharing on our blogs.
This activity taught students how to use Google Earth to measure spaces, how to use screen record, and to always consider what information they are sharing online.
