This video shows a Writing lesson integrated with a Cybersmart focus of leaving a Smart Footprint and using formal language in emails. We began with reviewing what our digital footprint is and how we will be writing persuasive emails to our principal/deputy principal. I gave students three choices of topics to write their persuasive writing on and they used the OREO (opinion, reason, example, opinion) framework to write these.

This activity taught students how to write persuasively, how to use Gmail and formal language when emailing and to consider their digital footprint when emailing and sharing online.
