Reflection 

I liked starting the session with a picture book, I think this helped the students to visualise what their end product could look like. I also liked using the story starter cards with the students, this got them engaged in the learning task and enabled them to think quite creatively about what their end product could look like. 

Next Steps

If I were to teach this again I think I would do a lot more work on themes with the students and more work on developing a character as when I read their final picture books I felt this was an area they were lacking.
