Learning Intention - Locate and summarise facts about our country of choice.

Students research about their country of choice, we researched about culture, food, sports, language etc.

We then created a pitch to our customers using screencastify sharing our slides and speaking about them.

Reflection

My learners found this activity really enjoyable, it was different and they thought it wasn't linked to Literacy and that it was a research topic. I found that a few of my students were copying and pasting factual information online, we spoke about copyright after the lesson, however, I need to do more note taking with them so they know how to take information off line and write it in their own words.

Use Screencastify to be a travel agent and sell your destination.

SUCCESS CRITERIA:

- Your Google slides are planned and complete.
- Complete screencastify with you sharing about your destination of choice.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Today we're doing a Virtual Travelogue, we are also going to be a Travel Agent!
Choose a destination in the world that you like.
In Google Slides write about the Geography(Where in the world it is), Culture, Attractions, Food, Sport and Interesting Facts, make sure you add photos to!
The best part - now you are going to use ScreenCastify, you are now a Travel Agent, tell people why they should travel to your country. Make sure you show your face in the video and talk to each slide, show lots of facial expressions, be enthusiastic!
