Students were familiar with this text as we read 'Taking Note' last week, this text was a great follow up text.

Text is about how money is made and money in history.

I get students to read the text before they see me and will get them to read chunks aloud with their group as well.

Reflection

This lesson was really fun, we had great conversations over the 2-3 days of reading these texts.  I loved how engaged my learners were with the group work.  My learners loved the opportunity of making their own notes in their activity. My follow up lesson with them was mostly discussing how to make their own note and what different things they needed on their notes.  Having a note with me really helped as they were able to look at and unpack the different security details each note had.

Things to note

The students that I had done the filming with hadn't completed the activity, however, another group that I did the same text with completed the activity, I have used these kids for the Learner Generated Content.
