Learning Intention - We are learning to write emails following email etiquette.
Massive shoutout to the Manaiakalani crew and Cheryl Torrie for this awesome Cybersmart lesson!
My kids really enjoyed this lesson, also shoutout to Mr J (Garth Jacobsen - Associate Principal) for being a good sort and receiving and replying to all my learners emails.
Reflection
My learners love the cybersmart lessons, we especially love the Cybersmart challenges, they're a quick way to learn a new skillset to help my learners be more cybersmart. At the start of the lesson it would have been good to show them a formal and informal email, we then could have picked out what we would like to use and what we shouldn't have in our emails. This is a lesson that you can do with your whole class, I did this a week earlier with my whole class and didn't film it and thought it would be a great idea to do for a Class OnAir video, so I filmed it today with my learners that were absent for this lesson. The replies we got from our Associate Principal were fantastic, he made some of them very formal and some were informal, this made for great group sharing that unfortunately I didn't capture.
Things to note
My learners voices are really quiet, I turned the audio up as much as possible when editting, you often hear me repeating what they said, I need to move the mic around next time so you are able to hear all responses.
