Direct Instruction
In this lesson children are learning to collaboratively review their writing and use this to create a movie to share on PENN (Pt England New Network). You will see us discussing what we are learning, talking and sharing writing, working on to parts of our movie and watching the finished product on the school news.
Reflection
This lesson was so enjoyable and really showed me how far the learners have come in terms of their ability to create in iMovie as well as to work collaboratively. What I enjoyed about this was that we extended the writing experience beyond writing and publishing to being critical and selecting the best parts for a particular audience. I also found that in this lesson the role of the teacher was stepped back providing the context and goals but allowing to children to really make the project their own. What they created was outstanding and I am so proud of them.
