Direct Instruction
In this lesson you will see us explore what make me 'me'. The children have been taking at home with their families about why their name is special. In this lesson you will see us explore this in more detail using a picture book at a video my mum made about my name. The children create digital art and a video about their names.
Reflection
Our names are so important and learning what they mean has been so much fun. The children really enjoyed hearing about how I got my name from my mum and were excited to share with her about their names on Facetime and on their blogs. It was great to have a picture book to connect this idea back to mental health and the challenges that come with people getting your name wrong.
