Reflection
I think that this lesson went really well, the students had some really rich discussions around what they had read and how best to answer the questions. Many of the students in this session have been involved in Class OnAir for many years so it was really great to see the confidence of them being able to share their ideas with me and each other while they were being filmed. The class at school and online have all been enjoying about new parts of France each day and have been completing their own research which can be seen with the interesting facts that they have come up with. By having the consistency with learning at home and at school it has made the transition for those who have been isolating at home easier when they come back to school as they already know what they are learning about and having missed anything from being at home. It has been a really smooth transition.
Things to note
This is the same lesson as lesson one - this shows how we kept the learning happening at school face to face with our students. I have had to re film part of the session as some of the footage as I had a students head in front of the camera with nothing else being able to be seen on camera. Another thing to note is that the students in this video are not all from the same reading group it is just made up of some of the students that I had a school on that particular day. This lesson was also filmed across parts of the day which is why there is a lot of movement of other students in the background. I was also running online google meets at this time and took a section of my class to film this for Class OnAir.
