Level 1 Number and Algebra
The learning focus for this lesson was for children to be able to count on from the biggest number to solve addition problems.
This episode shows a group of children who are at the stage of learning to count on to add. We first revisit the learning done on this over the term. We then work through a few problems using materials and practicing counting on. The children then access their work from our hub site and complete a task on Explain Everything.
Reflection: I feel proud of this lesson. I am becoming more confident with filming my teaching and changing camera angles etc. Looking back I felt that the children were engaged and it was appropriate for their level. It was more hands on than my previous episodes and showed more of the children and their learning. It was a great task to see where children were at and to help me establish their next steps.
Things to Note: This episode was filmed during Covid Red setting. I as the teacher was required to wear a mask but because of the children's age they were not.
