The learning intention for this lesson was to gain and show an understanding for Kupe.
E whakaatu ana tēnei kiriata i tō mātou aro ki ngā mōhiotanga mō Kupe mā te pānui pukapuka, mataki kiriata me te tākaro kēmu Kahoot! Ka kitea rawa i te whakamahi o ngā īpapa i roto i ngā mahi ako i roto i te kiriata nei.
This video shows my class explore different mediums to gain new understandings or establish what we already know about the tūpuna Kupe. We do this through reading/listening to a book, watching a short video and then playing a game of Kahoot! This video shows how ipads are used in our learning.
Reflection / Arotake
He pai te haere o te akoranga nei. I kite au i te painga o ngā rauemi rerekē, ara ko te pukapuka, te kiriata me te kēmu. Having the different mediums of teaching I think helped my akonga get different information but also suited all most all of them and their different ways of learning. The Kahoot! also gave me an insight into what they learnt and what might have needed a bit more exploring. Hearing their voices in their videos also gave me a better understanding of what they know.

They have watched the videos before so it wasn't something new to them.
