Direct Instruction / Te Akoranga
The learning intention for this lesson was to write a mihi to something in our environment.
This video shows our use of ipads to support in our writing, as well as the writing process. This is a 2 part lesson, this is part 2.
Reflection / Arotake
Tino pai ngā mahi o te akoranga nei. I tutuki te whainga i whakarite mā rātou. I found that being very prepared beforehand made the whole lesson so much easier. So having all the ipads, writing books and pencils in a container for easy transport, prewriting the tauira in my writing book and having the example all ready to go on the class site made it run so much smoother. We got so caught up in our writing outside that we actually ran over time and got to lunch late.
Things to note
There were heaps of cicadas around and they're a bit noisy!!
