The learning intention for this lesson is focus on measuring the length of something using a measuring tape (standard unit of measurement).

This video shows the tamariki learning to use and read a measuring tape, as well as what a centimetre is, what a metre is. They need to measure 3 different things in the classroom with their measuring tape. Their estimation skills are also used in this lesson.
