CoA Ep4.movDirect Instruction: This lesson comes after the students completed the first Manaiakalani Cybersmart Challenge about our Kawa of Care. Students worked together to design and create their own Chromebook Kawa of Care video illustrating various elements of our Kawa of Care. To do this, students were working on a shared Google Doc while brainstorming and planning their video.
Reflection: I was surprised at how quickly the students in this focus were able to share their ideas verbally. However, it took them a fair bit of time to understand how to use the Google Doc while others were also typing on it. It was great to see their enthusiasm and support for one another during this time.
LEARN:
We are going to learn about the Manaiakalani Kawa of Care.
CREATE:
Let's use what we have learnt when completing the Cybersmart Challenge, to create a video demonstrating proper Kawa of Care.
SHARE:
We will be sharing our video on our blog and playing it on our school wide news programme.
