Direct Instruction: This lesson is the second part (see previous episode) of a lesson on the PM+ book "Exercise for Everyone." At the beginning of this lesson, we spent some time reviewing the content from the day before and the author's purpose for writing, Later, students are taught how to collaboratively put their photos and videos onto a Google Slides presentation to teach others how to do the exercises demonstrated in the text.
Reflection: This was such a fun follow up task and I was so excited to see what they would come up with. However, I was deeply frustrated in the midst of the lesson when the photos we took on the new ipad wouldn't load into the Google Drives as they would in the past. In the end, I emailed the photos to the students from the ipad and we took screenshots of them to put them into the slideshow easily. The frustration I was feeling in the moment of the photo craziness meant that I was not moving about the group as much as I would normally when teaching a new Chromebook element.
