Now that we are back at school in Level 3.2, I thought it was a good time to teach the students who returned to school how to do an animation using Google Slides. I choose a simple Covid-19 Bubble life statement that was co-constructed with the students as the main theme of our animations and then allowed students to have a play with the animated add-ons they decided to incorporate.

Reflection: This is something that I had planned to do with my whole class during Term 3 to incorporate Slides animation into our "create" selections for tasks now that the students were a little more familiar with using their Chromebooks. However, due to Lockdown we didn't quite get there. However, this was a lovely way to spend a day, after we returned to school, as we laughed and talked about our bubble experiences while animating our slides.

You will notice that one student in the front did not have her Chromebook during this time because she returned to school for the first time on this day and she did not charge her device before returning so it was plugged in during this lesson.

Please Note: This is a Level 3.2 filmed episode. During this time, families were able to decide whether to send their students back to school or remain Distance Learning from home. As a result, I had eight students back at school socially distant around the classroom and I was still rocking my "Covid Hair" since Auckland salons remained closed for a few weeks after we returned to school.
