Direct Instruction / Te Akoranga
The learning intentions for this lesson was to identify a saying in the text and demonstrate their understanding by using the saying on the iPad app Explain Everything.
Ko te tino whainga o te akoranga nei ko te tiro haere mō ngā kīwaha me te whakaatu mai i tō rātou māramatanga mā te whakamahi i te kīwaha ki runga i te taupānga īpapa Whakamārama Atu.
This video shows my highest reading group first discussing what kīwaha or saying they already know, and then going through the book to identify the sayings used. We then go over how they could demonstrate their knowledge and understandings by using the saying on the app Explain Everything.
E whakaatu ana tēnei kiriata i te rōpū pānui pakari rawa o tōku akomanga. Ka whakawhiti kōrero mātou mō ngā kīwaha e mōhio kētia, kātahi ka tirotiro haere i te pukapuka mō ngā kīwaha kua whakamahia ki roto. Kātahi mātou ka wānanga me pēwhea tō rātou whakaatu mai i tō rātou māramatanga ki ngā kīwaha mā te whakamahi i te taupānga Whakamārama Atu.
Reflection / Arotake
Tino pai tēnei akoranga ki au. He mea ngawari, ā he rōpū pai rawa tēnei nā te tokoiti. Ahua roa te pukapuka nō reira kua pānui rātou mō te roanga o te wiki, ko tēnei te akoranga te reo matatini/pānui mutunga mō te wiki. He hiahia nōku kia pai ake tōku whakatakoto pātai, kia kaua e waiho māku ngā kōrero kātoa.
Things to note
Kua mahia he akoranga ahua rite ki tēnei i ngā wiki kua hori me tētahi atu pukapuka, engari i kite he pukapuka anō me ngā kīwaha. Ā, nā te hanga pai rawa atu o tērā atu akoranga i whakaaro au kia mahi anō.
