The learning intention for this lesson was for the children to retell the story, referencing the beginning, middle and end.
Reflection
I thought this lesson went well, given that it is so early in the year and I’m still getting to know the children in this group well. There were some really good ideas and thoughtful contributions added by some children. I would like to see more participation from other members of the group. Hopefully, doing similar lessons following the same format will enable them to feel more comfortable with contributing their ideas as they get a feel for what to expect.
