Direct Instruction

In this lesson we are learning about sculpture art and how it is different from other art we have created. Children read as a whole class the story Beach buddies. We discussed the text and then made our own Pt England buddies using object from our environment. Children were challenged to think about their characters as they created a photo story and picture book using their character in peers.

Reflection

This was a challenging but fun lesson. It involved a lot of movement and look place over two days. Children we excited to create and came up with come awesome models. They then work hard to create their pictures. Some groups found it hard working together to write a story but most enjoyed the experience. I really enjoyed seeing the children fully using the space that is our school environment and making the most of learning inside and outside the classroom space.
