Direct Instruction
The learning intention for this lesson was to create a playable Maze style game using the software 'Scratch'.
Reflection
This is a really fun and easy game to start making with a class. The code needed is reasonably logical and easy to understand, and therefore the kids can really feel like they know what they are doing, and feel like they have successfully made their own game. Their are heaps of extension possibilities, so it's a nice low floor - High ceiling task.
Things to note
This episode is structured differently. Rather than a filmed lesson that I taught in the classroom, I have tried to talk to the video so that you can see my thinking behind the lesson that I have taught - a different perspective.
