Episode 3 - W1.mp4

Direct Instruction / Te Akoranga

The learning intentions for this lesson was to complete the final part of our writing piece we began on why we need to wash our hands. This was filmed during Level 4, so it is an insight into how my classes we were run from home.

This video shows the children who attended this online Google Meets hui with me discussing and going back over the experiment we conducted and then getting them to illustrate the sequences of the experiment.

E whakaatu ana tēnei whitiahua i ngā akonga i tae mai ki tēnei hui Ataata Kukara e whakawhiti kōrero ana , e hoki ana ki ngā mahi nō te whakamātau putaiao i whakahaerehia e mātou mō te horoi ringa. Kātahi ka tohua rātou kia tā mai i te raupapatanga o ngā i roto i taua whakamātau putaiao.

Reflection / Arotake

The lesson was intended to be completed at school, but was taken at home under Level 4, because of this so adjustments had to be made. The intentions set out for this lesson were met and it was a good way of getting my students to start thinking again about hand washing and the importance of it.

Things to note

My class and myself were still adjusting to teaching and learning from home so the management and noise levels in this video make things a little difficult to hear or make sense of some of the conversations being had.
